Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Most people just live where they were born, as if his hometown is timeless. . . that was my case until two years ago (I’m only 27, better late than never …), when I began to discover Florence was once a boy, and rose in precise social and cultural conditions. As the son of a wealthy dynasty beautiful, the Medici shaped this city to all points of view, it was delicious, no corner untouched by the classical beauty. A video of Florence historical center
I’m probably living in one of the few planned cities, with no other desire but simply beautiful, and this is deeply rooted in the history of Florence. If you need a touch of color before leaving the mind free to imagine, you can watch this video http://www. lorenzoilmagnifico. issued by the wide network – which shows the historical center of Florence. The video was made by a local television channel of an ancient Renaissance villa, converted into a hotel. All buildings in Florence are old! From the bottom – Old Bridge survived the Nazi war
We assume. The first human settlements in Florence along the Arno river, in the narrow corridor in which are now part of Old Bridge. famous for craft shops around the world, the bridge is the only survivor of World War II, probably due to an express order of Hitler, while the Germans were in retreat in 1944. The civil wars that have shaped the city – Piazza della Signoria and the political side of Florence
Continuing with the spiritual heart of Florence, where is Santa Maria del Fiore, you will be in Piazza della Signoria, the historic center politician. This puts her immersed in the history of wars between the Guelphs, supporting the papal party, and the Ghibellines, supporting the emperor, his L-shaped property is the demolition of 36 houses Ghibellines. Florence was often in the form of civil wars, organized today a football suit, battle a cruel sport (like rugby) between the districts of Florence.
Piazza della Signoria is placed in front of a normal air museum is: Loggia dei Lanzi in the home is late Gothic arches-15 statues. In front of Palazzo Vecchio, the most important historical building of the Government of Florence, you can find a copy of Michelangelo’s David and Ammanniti Neptune Fountain. Florence affectionately called “Biancone” (large white) by its pale color. . . The Uffizi – the path of the principles
The true symbol of art for art in Florence is the Uffizi, on the east side of the Piazza della Signoria. This is the private Medici Francisco where I could take a walk surrounded by paintings, sculptures and tapestries: This food is made of boundless treasures of the Medici family, giving shelter to the masterpieces of Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo. . . artistic infinite charm, suspended over the River Arno. A touch of grace – Piazza del Duomo and the spiritual side of Florence
Calzaiouli Crossing Way “, will reach the Piazza del Duomo. Florence Cathedral was designed by Brunelleschi in the space of 14 years, and finally consecrated in 1436 by Pope Eugene IV. Side of the cathedral, Giotto’s bell tower, 84 meters tall, is dressed in white, red and green marbles lighten the plaza. Hay. . . the center of the universe:) The sign of David – human and divine in a city of art
Before returning to waters of the Ponte Vecchio for a romantic evening in the Via Ricasoli, one side of the Piazza del Duomo, you can visit the Galleria dell’Accademia, which houses the collection of Prisons, incomplete works of Michelangelo and David , the symbol of a city that lives in this world a unique artistic heritage. There is a long way. Florence’s historic center is small, because every inch has been built in history and beauty. . . . I just hope to see you soon walk these ancient streets of Dante!
