Wool is going to be MUCH warmer than thin, flimsy faux silk material.The first three jackets are more for looks. You can layer up underneath to make them warmer, but if you do that, make sure you buy a larger size than you normally would for the coat because it won't fit right if you are wearing bulky sweaters underneath. If it will keep the water out, it will keep the snow out, and I think it's also your best shot at keeping the most cold out. Of course, all the jackets have to be warm, they're coats for winter!!
